Cummings, Jr. & his wife Lisa, Maria Cummings & her wife Jean Cummings and Gina M. Cummings & her husband Andrew J. Gioia, Jr. all of Wilmington, loving “Grandma” of Richard D. Cummings, III & his wife Kristen, Eric Cummings & his wife Sakara, Joseph M. Cummings, Maria R. Cummings, Anthony R. Cummings and Nicholas W. Cummings, cherished daughter of the late Nicholas and Aurora (Andriotti) Ciampa, dear sister of Nicholas Ciampa of Cambridge and the late Aurora Campana. Marie is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Friday, August 23rd at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Avenue, Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Wood End Cemetery, Franklin Street, Reading. To make things more interesting, the Marvel superheroes spared some empty chairs at the press conference with a view to honouring the heroes they lost in Avengers: Infinity War.It is a known fact that quite a lot of superheroes were killed off in the previous Avengers film, Infinity War. Thanks to Thanos, superheroes such as Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Scarlett Witch, Winter Soldier, Nick Fury, Star-Lord, Drax, to name a few. Their loss wasn’t unrecognised by the Marvel heroes as the Endgame heroes honoured their colleagues. By symbolising honour towards the heroes who were once Avengers, quite a few chairs were kept empty.The same was shared by a New York Times journalist on his Twitter feed as part of the live-feed. While honouring the fallen comrades was a good strategy, it is certain that most or maybe all of them will come back to life. Considering how Tom Holland is already promoting Spider-Man: Far From Home where he deals with a new villain (Mysterio), it is obvious that the superheroes plan to bring back their Avengers colleagues.With only a few more days to go before the release of Avengers: Endgame, all eyes are on the calendar. To promote the film, Marvel Studios is taking a lot of efforts to spread the word that one of the biggest franchise films is coming to an end. Avengers is one of the only franchises to have a plethora of actors joining hands. With every part, the Avengers family only grew at an exponential rate. Starting from just a few Avengers tackling Loki in the first film to adding more comrades to their team as new challenges befell them. We sure would like to know how the remaining Avengers plan to bring back the dead.

But as it turned out, Cersei and Jaime Lannister died after getting buried under the pile of rubble. After learning from Brienne and The Hound, she mastered her swordsmanship but she has not used her powers of becoming a faceless man ever since she ended Walder Frey’s entire friends and family. Fans speculated that Arya will use the face of Littlefinger to kill Cersei but that did not happen.In the last and final episode of Game of Thrones season 8, Arya Stark will try her best to kill Daenerys Targaryen. She might need Jon Snow’s help in doing so as the Mad Queen will now be surrounded by her entire Dothraki and Unsullied army. Arya might wear the mask of someone Daenerys knew in the past but the chances of doing that are pretty slim.If Arya Stark does not use her skills of becoming the faceless man, then it would be a total waste of her extraordinary skills as well as it won’t make any sense to not use that in your final battle.In the upcoming final episode of Game of Thrones, we are hoping to finally get the answers to these questions about Arya Stark and how she is going to use the face of someone Daenerys will recognize. A Fully Automated Catalog With Measured Completeness and Reliability Based on Data Release 25, arXiv:1710.06758 [astro-ph.EP] arxiv.org/abs/1710.06758AbstractWe present the Kepler Object of Interest (KOI) catalog of transiting exoplanets based on searching four years of Kepler time series photometry (Data Release 25, Q1—Q17). The catalog contains 8054 KOIs of which 4034 are planet candidates with periods between 0.25 and 632 days. Of these candidates, 219 are new in this catalog and include two new candidates in multi-planet systems (KOI-82.06 and KOI-2926.05), and ten new high-reliability, terrestrial-size, habitable zone candidates. This catalog was created using a tool called the Robovetter which automatically vets the DR25 Threshold Crossing Events (TCEs) found by the Kepler Pipeline Twicken et al. (2016). Because of this automation, we were also able to vet simulated data sets and therefore measure how well the Robovetter separates those TCEs caused by noise from those caused by low signal-to-noise transits. Because of these measurements we fully expect that this catalog can be used to accurately calculate the frequency of planets out to Kepler’s detection limit, which includes temperate, super-Earth size planets around GK dwarf stars in our Galaxy. This paper discusses the Robovetter and the metrics it uses to decide which TCEs are called planet candidates in the DR25 KOI catalog. We also discuss the simulated transits, simulated systematic noise, and simulated astrophysical false positives created in order to characterize the properties of the final catalog. We describe how we measure the completeness and reliability and how they vary with period, signal-to-noise, number of transits, and stellar type. Also, we discuss a value called the disposition score which provides an easy way to select a more reliable, albeit less complete, sample of candidates. (Phys.org)—A large international team of researchers working with data sent back from NASA’s Kepler space telescope has found evidence of 20 previously unknown, promising exoplanets. In their paper uploaded to the arXiv preprint server, the team describes the exoplanets and highlights the ones that appear to be the most likely to fit into the Goldilocks category. Credit: NASA The researchers report that they used a tool called the Robovetter to sift through data from Kepler planetary sightings to winnow down the possibilities—the tool narrows down hits to those that are deemed candidates to support life. Many of the 20 exoplanets that were discovered had long orbits—one in particular, KOI-7923.01, was found to have an orbit of 395 days and was very close in size to Earth. The team found that it was also a little cooler than Earth due to its distance from its star relative to Earth’s orbit and the star being cooler. The team notes that their initial study suggested the planet is likely covered by a cold tundra, but that it is still not too cold to support life.Unfortunately, the newly discovered planets are still not fully confirmed because Kepler ran into trouble after recording the part of the sky in which the planets are thought to exist. Thus, Kepler was only able to observe the planets two times—not nearly enough for confirmation. Despite the lack of data, the team reports that they are nearly certain that the candidates are not only planets, but are possibly habitable, as well. Ground-based observations are required to confirm the findings.The find was derived from the photometry data sent back by the space telescope over the course of four years before trouble with its reaction wheels back in 2013. The 20 exoplanets of interest were part of a catalogue of 8,054 “Kepler Objects of Interest” that were pared down to 4,034 exoplanets that were believed to have orbits between .25 and 632 days.
