Charles Powers, 54, was arrested at his Tower Lane home and charged with multiple counts of promoting sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. Police said Powers allegedly uploaded several files containing child pornography from a live Internet video chat website onto his personal computer between November and January. According to investigators, the files allegedly contained images of several young girls between the ages of 5 and 8 engaging in sexual conduct with a man. Powers will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
